Nepal Renewable Energy Programme (NREP) organised safeguarding training on 12th & 13th November in Shangrila Blu Hotel. The objective of the training was to enable All NREP staff to recognise and take action to reduce safeguarding risks and report and respond to safeguarding incidents. Ms. Sarah Gray, Global Director of Safeguarding at DAI served as the resource person and shared DAI’s approaches. On day one, along with NREP staffs, Samridhha Pahad,and the representatives from DFID proactively participated and shared some of DFID’s approaches and practices. The second day was scheduled for NREP to develop its safeguarding plan identifying safeguarding risks across four workstreams: governance, market assessment and development, innovative project finance and cross-cutting. NREP appointed Ms. Sanju Neupane and Mr. Anil Bajracharya as Safeguarding focal persons for NREP.
