NREP in coordination with SECF awardee Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. and Electric-cooking appliance supplier, Chaudhary Group (CG) has organized an orientation and demonstration event of electric cooking at Nigaul, Mahottari, Madhesh Province on 22^nd February 2022 with an objective to orient and create awareness among members of Mithila MFI branch about e-cooking technologies, its benefits, usage, features, etc. and to support local financial institutions for creating market and demand for e-cooking. There were 222 participants in total including members of Mithila MFI, representatives from NREP and CG. The event was chaired by Mr. Satya Deo Raut, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mithila. He expressed his commitment to promote e-cooking technologies to all the members of Mithila MFI in coming days. He also assured that Mithila will provide 5% interest discount on loan for e-cooking to its members who are interested in buying induction stoves set. This event helped significantly to create awareness among members of Mithila MFI, specifically women to adopt the e-cooking technology.
