NREP in coordination with SECF awardee Environment Development Multi-Purpose Co-operative Ltd.(EDCOL) and supplier of e-cooking appliance, Chaudhary Group (CG) has organized an orientation and demonstration event of electric cooking at Birendranagar, Surkhet, Karnali Province on 21^st March 2022 with an objective to orient and create awareness among members of EDCOL about e-cooking technologies, its benefits, usage, features, etc. and to support MFI for creating market and demand for e-cooking. There were 89 participants in total including members of EDCOL, representatives from NREP and CG. The event was chaired by Mr. Chandra Lal Acharya, Chairman of EDCOL. Mr. Kiran Basnet, Senior Manager of EDCOL expressed his commitment to promote e-cooking technologies with an aim to reduce the consumption of imported fuel like LPG among EDCOL members. This event helped significantly to create awareness among members of EDCOL, specifically women to adopt the e-cooking technology.
