NREP in coordination with SECF awardee Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd.and e-cooking appliance supplier, Chaudhary Group (CG) has organized an orientation and demonstration event of electric cooking at Nepalgunj, Banke, Lumbini Province on 23^rd March 2022 with an objective to orient and create awareness of e-cooking technologies, its benefits, usage, features, etc. among members of Nirdhan Utthan MFI and to support for creating market and demand for e-cooking. There were 107 participants in total including members of Nirdhan Utthan, representatives from NREP and CG. The event was chaired by Mr. Min Bahadur Hamal, Program Manager of Nirdhan Uthan Regional Office, Kohalpur. He expressed his commitment to promote e-cooking and to increase the consumption of electricity through household cooking also with an aim to reduce the consumption of imported fuel like LPG. This event helped significantly to create awareness among members of Nirdhan Utthan, specifically women to adopt the e-cooking technology.
